Intermarché is one of the seven brands of the Groupement Mousquetaires, an organisation bringing together more than 3,000 independent entrepreneurs and 160,000 employees, supporting the performance of over 4,300 stores in France, Belgium, Poland and Portugal. With more than 2,000 stores, Intermarché is the second-largest retailer in France.

At the helm of these stores, Mousquetaires entrepreneurs form a collective of business owners actively involved in the socio-economic fabric of their local regions. To meet the needs of its brands — Intermarché and Netto (food retail); Bricomarché, Brico Cash, Bricorama (home improvement); Roady and Rapid Pare-Brise (mobility) — the Group operates its own support services (integrated logistics platforms, purchasing services, real estate arm, etc.), as well as an agri-food division of nearly 60 factories, all located in France.

Thierry Cotillard, President of the Groupement Mousquetaires: “Intermarché is proud of this new partnership, which marks a new chapter in our history with cycling. This sport is above all about solidarity, teamwork and proximity — values that lie at the very heart of the Groupement Mousquetaires and underpin our success. With a store every 10 km, we are closer than ever to our customers and delighted to share the passion of cycling with them, both in our stores and at the most iconic races. The year 2026 promises to be full of эмоtion and challenges for our new Lotto–Intermarché team. We share these values of team spirit and perseverance that will lead to many victories.”

Sports partnerships at Intermarché: the beating heart of the brand

Sharing the values of mutual support and team spirit that sport embodies, Intermarché has developed a sports sponsorship strategy focused on three major popular sports: cycling, football and rugby.

In addition to being Title Partner of the Lotto–Intermarché cycling team, the brand is an Official Partner of the French Football Federation (FFF) and all French national teams, as well as a Major Partner of the men’s and women’s Coupe de France. Intermarché also highlights amateur clubs through the “Petit Poucet Intermarché” initiative and has been promoting women’s amateur football since 2022 through the SENSATIONNELLES by Intermarché programme.

Finally, the brand is an Official Partner of the TOP 14 and PRO D2 via the National Rugby League (LNR), the two professional rugby championships in France.

By partnering with these three popular sports, Intermarché demonstrates its strong commitment to the values of inclusion and solidarity shared with these disciplines.

The brand brings this connection to life through in-store activations and on-field events, strengthening its proximity to customers and local sports communities.
