Development Two out of two for Liam Van Bylen in the Ronde van Vlaams-Brabant

Liam Van Bylen will spend another day in yellow tomorrow. Following his victory in the opening stage of the Ronde van Vlaams-Brabant, where he won in a sprint with five riders, he sprinted to victory again today in Goetsenhoven, near Tienen, in stage two. "The team rode in the front for me all day," Van Bylen said. "There was a breakaway with eight riders up front, but we were able to keep control behind them. They never got more than a minute ahead. In the final lap, the guys closed the gap with the early breakaway and still had energy left for a lead-out for me."

Van Bylen eventually won the bunch sprint, securing his fourth victory of the season. "I had set my sights on this stage, I know I'm fast. But this is mainly a team victory, not just mine alone."

Tomorrow, the riders will face a flat stage in Betekom. Daniil Yakovlev crashed today. It remains to be seen whether he can start tomorrow.
