Development Liam Van Bylen triumphs again at the Memorial Danny Jonckheere
The race in Oudenburg served 12 local laps for 160 flat kilometers in total. “During the race meeting in the morning the sports director said the goal was a sprint with myself. The team controlled the race perfectly, some attacks got taken back quickly. It was a fast race”, Liam Van Bylen looks back.
“In the last lap I had to come back as I got stuck in between the cars, due to another rider touching me. My teammates immediately awaited me and brought me back to the front. I got a perfect leadout and could finish it off. I’m really happy, as the team did so much work the whole day. It gives extra motivation to give that extra push.”
Liam Van Bylen now prepares for the GP Rik Van Looy next week. “It’s close to home and it’s a big race, so I’m looking forward to it.”
