Mathieu Kockelmann (20), who took two victories this season, is happy to join the Lotto Dstny Devo Team for 2025. “I was in the Crabbé junior team of Lotto Dstny before, I went training with Arnaud De Lie sometimes and now I’m happy that I have this opportunity to join the Devo Team. I think this year I made a step and can look back satisfied on my season. My win in the third stage of the Orlen Nations Grand Prix stands out. I have 66 race days this year with only two DNFs, so I was at a good level overall. I hope to develop further and to find out more which kind of rider I am, as I’m an overall rider. I want to develop my sprint and time trial capacities.”

Niels Driesen (19), who is still doing a bachelor’s degree electromechanics, is the second new signing for the Lotto Dstny Devo Team for the next two years. “This season I learned a lot about how the races go in the U23 category. I was also sometimes unlucky with mechanical troubles and just came too short to ride the big results. I’m super excited for this new chapter with the Lotto Dstny Devo Team, I know a lot of riders already and also the race program looks really nice. I hope to develop further my climbing skills.”

Sports Manager Kurt Van de Wouwer had some nice words about the two young riders: “Niels is someone who can handle the classics and climbing races. Last year he dominated the junior’s category together with Jarno Widar and Steffen De Schuyteneer. It’s someone who we really wanted in the Devo team. With Mathieu we had contact already two years ago, when he became European Champion time trial in the juniors. We are very happy to welcome him, he has a big time trial engine and can also handle the more hard courses.”
