In recent weeks, Lotto Cycling Team has been preparing for the new cycling season under the radiant Spanish sun, following tradition by training on a brand-new bike. The deep red, gleaming Orbea not only perfectly matches Lotto’s retro red jersey for the new season, but the bike—expertly crafted by the Basque bike manufacturers at Orbea—will also be crucial in achieving the team’s goals for this year.
As in the previous year, the Lotto Cycling Team will use two Orbea models. The Orca Aero is the ideal aerodynamic companion for sprints and fast stages, while the Orca is designed to support Lotto’s climbers during the most demanding mountain stages. Completing the setup are Orbea’s OQUO wheels, the RP45 and RP57, along with the new disc brakes from Galfer.
Last season, the team partnered with the Basque bike manufacturer Orbea, a brand that, like the Belgian team, boasts a rich history. Just as cycling is deeply embedded in Belgium’s culture, it is equally ingrained in the Basque Country, perhaps more so than anywhere else in the world. With Orbea’s 180 years of expertise and Lotto’s 40 years of experience, this partnership brings decades of knowledge together in the peloton. Over the next five years, it aims to help elevate the young talents of the Lotto Cycling Team to the next level.
