The first stage of the five-day race in the French Ardennes ran between Sedan and Nouvion-sur-Meuse. In the hilly 133 km stage, Kamiel Eeman finished fourth. "I completely owe this to my teammates. Each one of them delivered a top performance today," Eeman explained. This week, he is racing alongside Arne Baers, Jarno Widar, Lucas Van Gils, Niels Driesen, and Victor Vaneeckhoutte in the Circuit des Ardennes. "Jarno brought me perfectly into position for the technical finale. I had good legs, but more than fourth just wasn’t possible."
“We’ll try again tomorrow,” Eeman concluded. The second stage starts and finishes in Rethel.
