Development Jarno Widar takes home leader's jersey in Ronde de L’Isard

Over five challenging stages through the Pyrenees during this weeks Ronde de L’Isard, our Development team once again showed what it looks like to work hard and fight as a team. In the end, the excellent work done by the team resulted in Jarno Widar taking home the leader's jersey and even a well-deserved sixth place for Milan Donie in the General Classification.

Sports Director Dirk Aernouts confirmed the hard work done by the team this week: “We controlled and managed the races very well as a team. Yesterday was a slightly more difficult day, but it luckily still turned out in our favor. Today was a bit less demanding and everything went perfectly according to plan. Jarno and the whole team worked together excellently and kept the race firmly under control.”

For Jarno Widar, this week was more about finding out about his shape. “Personally, it was a week full of ups and downs, but overall I am very happy. I just came back from altitude camp, so I was curious to see how my shape would be”, he said. Nevertheless he is very satisfied with the overall performance of the team: “The team did an excellent job all week. Today also, we had full control over the race. In the end, the leaders jersey never really got in danger. We kept on fighting as a team — and it paid off!”
