Ladies Sterre Vervloet claims Belgian U23 Gravel Championship title in Westerlo

Sterre Vervloet delivered a strong performance during the race, actively contributing to the race dynamics from the start. "I tried to help control the race since the beginning. Eventually, the two best riders managed to escape but I kept on fighting form my spot. In the sprint for the third place, I was already a bit too tired so I unfortunately didn't manage to sprint to third position", she reflects.

Nevertheless, Vervloet looks back with a lot of satisfaction: "After the so-called chocolate medal in the Elite category, I am still very honored to wear the Belgian jersey in the U23 category. This gives a lot of confidence."
