ProTeam Lars Craps to undergo knee surgery: “I’m already motivated to fully commit to the recovery process and work on that comeback”

Lars Craps will have to delay the start of his season due to a knee injury that requires surgical intervention. The decision has been taken to reduce the risk of recurrence and to ensure the best possible outlook for his long-term career.

The injury concerns the same condition that required surgery last year, this time affecting the opposite knee. Following medical consultation done by our medical department, surgery was identified as the most reliable option to support a full recovery and avoid ongoing issues later in his career.

Despite the setback, Craps remains determined and focused on his rehabilitation: “After undergoing the exact same surgery last year, it really hurts to miss all the spring races for the second year in a row. Right now, it’s difficult to put into words how disappointed I am. Nevertheless, I’m already motivated to fully commit to the recovery process and work on that comeback to reach an equally high level or even better.”

Further updates on his recovery and return to competition will be communicated in due course.
