Ladies 7th place for Linda Riedmann in Nokere

Linda Riedmann secured a strong 7th place at Nokere Koerse. “I got a bit boxed in, but this top ten gives me confidence for the coming weeks,” Riedmann said.
Race 18 March 2026

A sprint finish in the women’s Nokere Koerse always seemed likely. A small breakaway group tried to go clear but was caught with 45 kilometres to go. After that, attacks followed one after another, but no move really managed to stick. Until the race split on the final passage of the Lange Ast.

“That’s exactly where I messed up a bit with positioning,” Riedmann explained. “I ended up in a second chasing group. The team did everything they could to bring me back before the cobbles of the Doorn and set me up for the final.”

Thanks to the hard work behind and a lack of cooperation in front, everything came back together for the expected sprint. “There I got a bit boxed in, which meant I came too late. But I’m happy with this seventh place. It gives me a lot of confidence for the races coming up in the next few weeks.”
