ProTeam From devo structure to WorldTour: Maxence Place joins Lotto-Intermarché as stagiaire
Place has consistently proven his capabilities on hilly and demanding terrain. After a strong development path which included riding for the team's continental development structure, Place confirmed his talent this season with strong performances for the Aarco team, including a victory at the Course de Côte d'Herbeumont and second places in the general classifications of the Ronde de l'Oise and Triptyque Ardennais.
His addition as a stagiaire highlights Lotto-Intermarché’s continued commitment to talent development, offering young riders a smooth transition into the professional peloton within a familiar environment.
Maxence Place:
"It’s a huge opportunity for me to become a part of the Lotto-Intermarché pro selection and it feels like a very logical transition. Since I was already in the team's development structure last year before riding with Aarco, I already know much of the staff and riders, so I'm not stepping into the unknown. My main ambition now is to prove that I belong among the pros, to showcase myself, and to learn as much as possible from the experienced riders in the team."
Sports Manager Kurt Van de Wouwer:
"Bringing in Maxence Place fits perfectly with our vision of giving young talents the opportunity to prove themselves at the highest level. At Aarco, he proved his potential and character. We are therefore giving him every chance to gain experience within our WorldTour squad and see how he performs at this level."
With his familiar presence among the staff and riders, Maxence Place will line up in Lotto-Intermarché colors for upcoming races in the second half of the season, aiming to gain valuable experience at the highest level.
