Ladies Sandrine Tas sprints to stage victory and the leader’s jersey in the Eneco Tour
“My team did an excellent job of positioning me for the final corner. When I saw the other riders starting their sprint on the left, I went full gas on the right,” Tas explains. “It was a tough sprint because the finish was slightly uphill. I knew I just had to keep pushing, even though I could feel the lactic acid building up everywhere. I’m very happy that I was able to finish off my team's great work.”
The 31-year-old Belgian, who had already won two stages in the Bretagne Ladies Tour earlier this season, is bringing her season to a fine close. “It obviously feels great to win. That’s what we do it all for. It’s also my last race of the season, so it’s great to finish here in the Eneco Tour like this.”
