Development Robin Orins is the strongest in ITT Memorial Igor Decraene

The time trial Memorial Igor Decraene gave a quite flat course of 21 kilometers. After one lap Robin Orins already built out an advantage. “I didn’t have the feeling though I had a super day”, Orins explains. “But then I heard I had the best intermediate time, so I gained some confidence and took the win with 7 seconds on Jonathan Vervenne.”

“I didn’t feel 100% the whole week, after the hard Tour de l’Avenir which I still felt in my legs. Also the warm weather played a role. I saw Arnaud (De Lie) winning in his Belgian champion jersey in the Renewi Tour, so I thought I needed to do the same. Next up for me are the European Championships, we’ll see how that goes as it’s with the best riders.”
