"We gave it our all in this final stage for the general classification," De Ceuster reflected. "Milan Menten was close, as was Liam Slock, so we tried to keep the race as controlled as possible today because there were still three bonification sprints along the way. That way, they could possibly move up a place in the GC." The hard work of the team paid off, as Menten gained 6 bonification seconds during the race. "We all went for it together, and it worked out well."

Heavy rain in the final stretch ultimately led to a disorganized sprint in Istanbul. "It was chaotic heading toward the finish. Suddenly, it started pouring rain, and some riders went the wrong way... I was supposed to lead out the sprint for Milan Menten, but I found myself alone in the last corner and ended up sprinting myself, resulting in a ninth-place finish."
