Development Kamiel Eeman looks ahead to Liège–Bastogne–Liège U23: 'We will do everything we can to stand on the top step of the podium"

The classic spring cycling season is slowly approaching its final chapter. Up next is Liège–Bastogne–Liège U23, the last monument on the calendar for the under-23 category — a race that our young talents have marked with great anticipation.
Race 17 April 2025

Eeman's strong performances this spring show that he has come out of the winter in great shape. In almost every race, he was involved in the action, often supported by the team, but also regularly playing a significant role in the finale. In both the Tour du Rwanda and Le Circuits des Ardennes, Eeman proved his value with several top-ten finishes. "So far, my season is going as hoped. The feeling on the bike is very good, and you can see that reflected in the results. This spring, I've already made good progress. I hope to continue this upward trend," said Eeman.

Lotto Cycling Team will line up with several riders in good form: Jarno Widar, Kamiel Eeman, Lucas Van Gils, Mathieu Kockelmann, Milan Donie, and Victor Vaneeckhoutte. 'We have a strong team, which brings confidence because we know we can play the game with multiple pawns,' says Eeman. Last year, he finished 13th. The ambitions for this edition are clear: 'Personally, I hope for a better result than last year, but the most important thing is that we do everything we can to hopefully see someone from our team standing on the top step of the podium on Saturday.'

With famous climbs such as the Côte de Stockeu and the Côte de La Redoute, the riders will face a challenging Ardennes menu. 'In Liège–Bastogne–Liège, it’s about daring to anticipate, reading the race, and seizing your opportunity at the right moment.'
