Development After podium finish at Monts et Châteaux, Matys Grisel sets his sights on Tour de Bretagne

Our devo riders are heading to France for the Tour de Bretagne, a race Matys knows well. Last year, he won the fifth stage and finished second in the points classification. After taking second place at the Monts et Châteaux Classic last week, he’s feeling confident again ahead of the upcoming races. "I'm really happy with how my season has started," says Matys. "I was a bit disappointed that I couldn’t race Paris-Roubaix two weeks ago because of knee pain, but I feel truly ready for the Tour de Bretagne."

The riders will face a challenging course in Bretagne, with five hilly stages and two sprint stages, terrain that suits Matys well. "These are exactly the kind of routes that suit me, but anything can happen in a stage race. We’ll see how it goes."

Last year, Matys narrowly missed out on the points jersey in Bretagne.
"So why not try to do even better this year? I’ve already won a stage there and I feel stronger than I did last year. The level is high, but of course anything is possible, even the overall classification."
