ProTeam Milan Menten to take 8th place in openingsstage of Tour de Romandie
The first stage of Tour de Romandie got kicked off in sunny Münchenstein. With a total amount of 194,3 kilometers and over 3.000 altitude meters, the first stage already showed that this week is certainly not going to be easy.
Yet, Milan Menten managed to show his sprinting power, finishing off this hot day with a solid 8th place. “I am happy that I still managed to sprint to a 8th place today. I was stuck behind a crash twice, which made me lose unnecessary energy”, he explains. Today’s top 10 finish definitely caused some positive motivation within the team to tackle the upcoming days. “In general I felt quite good today so I am certainly happy with my 8th place. Shoutout to the team, especially Jarrad, for getting me ready for the final. Looking forward to the rest of the week, although it is not going to be easy."
