ProTeam Third place for Tars Poelvoorde in Ruddervoorde Koers

Tars Poelvoorde delivered a strong performance today in Ruddervoorde Koers. Despite suffering a late puncture, he still battled to a well-earned third place. "I felt really good on the bike today, so it is a bit unfortunate that I couldn’t show my full potential in the sprint today", he says.

Today’s edition of the Ruddervoorde Koers delivered 166.5 km of intense racing, spread over 15 fast-paced laps of 11.1 km each. The Belgian one-day race, known for attracting an interesting rider lineup and delivering unpredictable finales, lived up to its reputation once again.

Our very own Tars Poelvoorde formed a decisive three-man breakaway alongside Jasper Dejaegher (Team Flanders-Baloise) and Ceriel Desal (Wagner Bazin WB). The trio worked wel together and made it to the finish line to battle it out in a sprint.

Unfortunately for Tars, a puncture in his front tire in the closing meters impacted his ability to contest the win. “I felt really good on the bike today, so it is a bit unfortunate that I couldn’t show my full potential in the sprint today. But in the end, I am still very happy with my third place”, said a satisfied Tars Poelvoorde.
