Throughout the race, the whole team showed their presence in the peloton, riding attentively in today’s edition of Binche-Chimay-Binche. In the final sprint, Berckmoes found himself well placed but narrowly missed out on the podium. Despite the mini setback in the closing meters, Berckmoes managed to sprint to a strong fourth place, only just behind Christophe Laporte (Team Visma - Lease a Bike).
“I had really strong legs today. There was not a moment where I felt my legs today. I was in quite a good position for the sprint. In the last few meters I got a bit stuck next to Christophe Laporte, so that’s a bit unfortunate. I really felt like having the legs to win today.”
