ProTeam Alec Segaert finishes solid fourth in Tour of Holland time trial

Alec Segaert delivered a strong performance in the Tour of Holland time trial, finishing an impressive fourth this afternoon in a competitive field. “I can be satisfied,” he said.
Race 16 October 2025

In Etten-Leur, Segaert completed the nearly 15-kilometre time trial 16 seconds slower than winner Ethan Hayter. “Two guys- Hayter and Söderqvist- were clearly faster. Then it was a matter of seeing what Laporte and Hoole would do… I ended up nicely in between, and that leaves me satisfied. I put in a good effort,” said a pleased Alec Segaert.

This year, Segaert chose the new Holland Tour over the Chrono des Nations, which he had raced in previous seasons, to close out his season. “Here, I could ride both a prologue and a time trial, and there are still opportunities in the coming days. Sunday’s gravel stage is one of them, but also the stage over the VAM mountain and the punchy stage in Limburg could suit us. I hope to pick up another good result somewhere,” he added.
