ProTeam Breakaway effort by Eduardo Sepúlveda concludes with 7th place
The stage, packed with altitude and relentless climbing, demanded strength and determination right from the start. Sepúlveda managed to position himself perfectly when the decisive move formed near the top of the opening ascent. From there, he showcased resilience and race instinct, staying in contention throughout the long day in the saddle.
“I’m very happy with the result from today,” said Sepúlveda after crossing the line. “It was not easy to take the break and get away as we went almost at the top of the first climb. The pace was good throughout the whole day and it was a day with a lot of altitude meters. So I really enjoyed today. At the end, I missed a bit my best legs. But I am very satisfied with the result and I am looking forward to the other opportunities that are coming.”
Tomorrow’s Stage 8 offers a different challenge as the peloton heads from Monzón Templario to Zaragoza over 163.5 kilometers — a day expected to favor the sprinters.
